In the story the scene grabbed my attention, and one of the things that make me surprised is that the man and his wife dont care what is happening out side they are living for their self and I think they are happy. After they die they go to the heaven so it shows that they are good people but they dont care that and they kept playing their game. I think the theme is about love and about how it is powerful and stronger than any other feeling. I like the story because of these reasons the story is trying to tell us how love tries to survive in the new world.
